About Me

History

I’m a long-time resident of the Florida Keys, but I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, listening to and learning from the greatest musicians in the world.

I’ve been playing music since I was 14. The saxophone was my first instrument, followed by the piano. I started playing the saxophone in the school marching band, and then went to the University of Michigan on a full music scholarship.

After Michigan, I went back home to the music mecca of the world, Memphis, to build my musical career.

Lee Sharp

I was nominated twice for best woodwind player and best band at the Memphis NARAS Grammys. I was named best artist of the month in the Florida Keys in May 2018.

I truly love my job and I love the Keys.

Songwriting

I enjoy writing my own original compositions; I’d like to be remembered as an excellent song writer first of all. My original music is a thoughtful blend of love, life, and spiritual experiences. My ultimate goal is to write songs for other artists who can shape them to whatever genre they want, so that my music will reach a large audience.
